It is too bad I did not start using small sketchbooks when I was younger, they are a great way to *write* about events, a time in ones life. It could have been a great way to get my kids attention when they were doing something they shouldn't have been....I could have said *wait* let me draw this so we won't ever forget it!!!
This is a small quick drawing of my first *backyard* in Arizona. It was fenced in ( I come from Wisconsin and did not see fenced in yards till moving to Az.), and in the Southwest corner grew this wonderful aromatic Eucalyptus tree. The ground itself had only a few patches of weeds, and dusty dirt, lots of dusty dirt!! The funny looking black lump facing the fence is my friends cat Pitter. All I can say is, he was a character, a great friend...and lived to the ripe old age of 21. But I wanted to capture his intenseness looking at this fence. Through this drawing, I can still *see* that day. tbc


Oh technicals ...black ink pen and smooth drawing paper...photo I took with my digital, postwork, only clean up of ugly background created by old digital camera...and my signature...

I love this Barb, very simple but really tells a story even without reading your comment about it.
You should do more like this I really like it and you are great at it. :heart: :hug: :+fav:
I did not draw but I did keep journals and I have a whole box of them. someday my grandkids may know more about me than I want them to :giggle:

You sure are one helluva passionate, thinking woman Barbs, I mean Pasionate in a good way, arrggh you know what I mean, don't you Ha Ha Ha Ha I love this old style pencil and ink work,,,,its funny how with puters everything is so much better and faster and modifications don't take days etc etc...but you still can't beat the passion and excitement you got from hands on work, that surely did rock, then the puter came...SSSIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHH
