Wisconsins own prickly pear cactus

My entry for the Most Prickly Summer Fun contest... MOST PRICKLY SUMMER FUN!!!Hey friends :iconexcitedhiplz:
It's summer and you know prickly plants love the sun and the hot weather.
Grab your camera and take a picture of them.
Our new contest is still looking for more pictures.
The rules are simple.
It must be a photo
Shouldn't be older than two weeks
And only one picture per member
If you can add something which represent the summer would it be awesome, but not necessary.
You see the rules are easy, nearly every prickly plant picture is welcome and you can win points and many more.
The contest will end on July the 7th, but don't wait until the last second to submit.

The cactus with the yellow flower is a type of prickly pear cactus that grows outdoors here in Wisconsin. This one is growing in the back yard, right next to the house. In the winter it looks as dead as a doornail, but when spring comes it begins a wonderful transformation!
